| How do you install the ECG software on the cpen? |
The software is installed using the IR interface of the cpen to transmit the data to the IR receiver on the PC. |
| How is the cpen attached to the PC when using the IR interface? |
This is done wireless using an IR sender and IR receiver. |
| Will the recorded data be deleted when changing the batteries? |
No, a rechargable buffer battery ensures that the data remains stored on the cpen for at least 10 minutes. |
| How long does one battery set last? |
Usually 3 hours (continuous operation), assuming a 1.5 V cell voltage. |
| How do you set the date and time on the cpen? |
This is the responsibility of the PC software. It synchronizes the clock using the IR interface. |
| Is ECG gel or ECG spray required for performing an ECG measurement? |
Usually a minimal dermal moisture or moisture of the electrodes is sufficient. For very hairy skin we recommend using ECG gel or ECG spray. |
| Where are the optimal discharge points for the integrated metal electrodes? |
Attach all three electrodes in the anatomical heart axis, either lateral or medial from the nipple. Due to anatomical specialties the optimal discharge point may vary, though. |
